MSU has strong and diverse expertise in disciplines related to autonomous and connected vehicles, with long-standing research programs in electromagnetics, computer vision, pattern recognition, and visual analysis. Our capacity to broaden collaborations within CANVAS spans the university in the Colleges of Engineering, Communication Arts and Sciences, Human Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, Natural Science, and the Eli Broad College of Business. Within the College of Engineering, CANVAS researchers are housed in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE); Computer Science and Engineering (CSE); Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE); Computational Mathematics, Science and Engineering (CMSE); Mechanical Engineering (ME); and Chemical Engineering and Materials Science (CHEMS).
